As you can see from the second picture, the hole in the bottom is around an inch, so that should be big enough for the parents to swim in and out if I put them in the tank upside down. Tomorrow we're going to lowe's to look at other options just in case these don't work out.

That's a clearer shot of mom, who I'm nearly 100% sure is mom. She's wider than SL and no bristles yet. Though I've read that they can wait til they're over 3" to get them, I'm optimistic. I haven't caught her eating yet though, and until I do I'm not moving SL to her tank. Also, no name yet! The bf bought her, so he gets the honors.
